Name: Gheir Gender: Gelding Breed: Akhal Teke Age: 9 years Description: Gheir is long and skinny, like most of his breed are. Despite his lean appearance though, he is well-muscled and powerful. He is a dark bay, with black stockings on each leg. His left hind foot has a small white sock, but it turns black and is that color up to his hock. He has a short tail, thin tail but it is silky and looks pretty when the wind blows on it. His mane is short and wispy too, but at least that makes it easier to brush. Personality: Like many stallions, Gheir can be grumpy around other males but a show off around mares. He is normally docile for Scaeva but anyone else will get bitten. Gheir seems to think of every horse at Cloudy Heights as his 'herd' even though he doesn't get a lot of contact with them, he is usually kept in his own paddock so he doesn't 'irritate' the other horses. Fairly competitive, espcially in front of mares, Gheir often gets in arguments with others and loves to compete in cross-country jumping and show jumping. Dressage and other more fancy events aren't his thing though, for he's not very patient and hates having to act so poised. History: Gheir was originally born at a breeder's not near these ranches, but was bought by Waterroot at two. They struggled to train him but after a couple years of barely being able to get a halter over his head they turned him over to a young girl named Scaeva, who apparently had a reputation with horses. Her gentle but cheerful ways enchanted him and although Scaeva soon gained control of the stallion it was still hard for anyone else to do anything useful him. So finally he was given to Scaeva and moved to Cloudy Heights to live with her. She occasionally takes him to jumping competitions and goes riding all the time, but sometimes she has to let him go. The people who owned him at Waterroot kept the breeding rights of the stallion and make use of them here and there. Mate: No real mate, although he is occasionally used as a stud...
